Technical Information: Wellmann kitchens
All our kitchens are rigid, factory assembled and made to order in Germany. This allows a large range of fronts and sizes, matching cabinets and accessories. Deliveries are made direct to site or via our warehouse facilities located around the country.
Range
The total kitchen range consists of 22 programmes with 78 different front finishes.
A well designed programme of units in grid measurements of 150, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 800, 900 and 1000mm width enables individual kitchen planning.
Fillers in the appropriate front or carcase material allow exact fitting. All wire parts are powder-coated in stainless steel colour. All wire parts are powder-coated in stainless steel colour. The chipboards used for our kitchens are environment-friendly as their formaldehyde content is extremely low. It is under the prescribed maximum of 0.1ppm (=0.12mg formaldehyde per cbm of air), as determined by the Ministry of Health in its emissions category E1 for living areas. All our real wood fronts have been sealed on both sides with PUR lacquer which provides protection under all normal use.
Wood finished by their nature always exhibit small differences in texture and colour which is due to the material being a natural product. These natural features which cannot be eliminated by staining bestow on each kitchen a special character and emphasises the natural beauty of the product. Accordingly the variations produced are to be tolerated. Also slight variations in colour due to the effect of light after years of use do not mean a flaw in the quality. Since real wood fronts are of nature's own materials, the same colour and texture pattern cannot be guaranteed.
Carcase finishes
The carcases are made of high-quality multi-layered particle boards, coated with melamine resin on both sides. The interior carcase finish, including that of the shelves and back panels is in white laminate. Apart from the rear panel, all of the carcase exteriors are finished in laminate decor. The exceptions are all wall units with glass doors and shelving. Here the carcase interior matches the carcase exterior of the other wall units. The laminate carcase front edges as thick edge match in colour the carcase exterior.
The shelves with thick-edge in all ranges can be adjusted in height at an interval of 64mm, and 800mm or wider units have extra support located in the middle post. Plastic stoppers prevent any noisy slamming of doors. Tall and base unit back panels have been recessed to allow sufficient room for any necessary conditions.
Visible side cladding
In conjunction with the standard carcase colour of white, magnolia white or cream, visible side cladding is available in gloss white laminate, gloss magnolia white laminate and gloss cream laminate. Visible side cladding is subject to a surcharge. Visible side cladding is also available in high gloss lacquer at a surcharge.
Drawer
The drawers consist of a powder-coated steel frame system with coated, slide-in particleboard base. The screw-fitted front panel is subsequently adjustable. The drawers are fitted with concealed, silent precision roller guides with a stop lock. This ideal and stable system ensures years of trouble free use. The load capacity per drawer is approximately 30kg with ConceptPlus and 25kg with Concept. The ConceptPlus variants are also all fitted with an integrated cushioning system.
Hinges
Self-locking, all metal clip hinges are fitted with mechanical precision and are spring loaded allowing 107⁰ opening of the door. The hinges are adjustable in three dimensions and facilitate perfect alignment of the doors. The flaps on the short wall units and tall units are equipped with special arms which stop automatically when opened at 75⁰ or 90⁰.
Hanging fixtures
A special wall unit fixing enables the fitter to achieve three-dimensional alignment of wall units from the cabinet. It is dowelled in to the carcase sides, guaranteeing a permanent load bearing capacity of approximately 70kg per wall unit. The wall fixing for niche and wall shelving is likewise adjustable from the front. The unit also comes with an all-metal hanging rail.
